Maia has also held the role of Fashion Editor at several titles including Virgin's Voyeur, The Good Weekend and Oyster Magazine and is currently Fashion Editor at Men's Health, Australia, working on the style pages and styling local and international celebrities. Maia has also been a regular contributor to various titles including The Australian Women's Weekly, Sunday Life, Vogue and Yen.
